How to read the Product Page

How to Read the Product Page

This guide is designed to help new users and current users who want a refresher on how to use the product page on the Daz3D website.

Daz3D carries many, many products, most of which are content products that can be used in Daz Studio, Poser, Carrara, and other applications. Customers can find lots of helpful information on the product page to guide their purchase decisions. It is important to read the product page carefully first. Many basic questions about a particular product can be answered on the product page.

While Daz3D has a generous, 30-day money-back return policy, many issues can be resolved by reading the product page carefully. This helps you buy products that you will want to keep.

Let's look at the product page for FWSA Kiara HD for Victoria 8. You may want to view it in a different browser or tab and compare to the screen capture below. It will probably not look exactly the same for reasons we'll examine.

Here's the top part of the Kiara page at the time this article was written:

Promo Images

The first thing you notice is the promo image. The biggest image gives you a look of what can be created with the product. You will also see there are several images that you can click on. While the promo images are a very good idea of what the product will give you, since they are made from the actual product itself, they do *not* guarantee everything you'll get if you purchase the product. For an actual list, you need to see the 'What's Included & Features' list further down.

In the example above, to the right of the product picture, you can see the sale percent off (red box with -30%), the original price (light grey with strikeout), and the sale price (black text).

To the right of the pricing, you will see a box with a heart in it. Clicking this will add the product to your Wishlist. Than you will see the green ADD TO CART button. Clicking this will add the product to your cart.

PLEASE NOTE:  Adding products to your Cart or Wishlist DOES NOT hold the sales pricing.

To the right of the promo image, underneath the pricing, you will see a list of categories underneath the price. The first is the SKU. The SKU is a unique identification number for the product. Every product in the Daz store has a SKU.

Next, you will see Artist. The Artist tells you who created the product. This is important because some of the promotions are for specific artists. However, these promotions will usually have a link to the artist catalog.

If the name list next to the artist says DAZ ORIGINAL, this means that Daz owns this product. If another artist is listed after Daz Original, it is still a Daz Original product.

Compatible Figures

This is where you will see what figures are compatible with this product.

Compatible Software

This is where you will see what software is compatible. In this case, it is only Daz Studio 4.9. If something is compatible with multiple platforms, it will be listed there (i.e. Carrara, Poser, Bryce).

Required Products

This is were you will see if there are other products required to make this product work. In this case, Victoria 8 is listed as a required product. If you do not own the required product, that product will not correctly work.

If there is no required product listed, that product will work on it's own.

Install Types

This is where you will see what install types are available for the product.

Please be aware that if you only see Encrypted Daz Connect, this means it is for Daz Connect only. For more details on Daz Connect, click here.

You will find this section below the promo image in the Product Page

This section is a basic description of the product.

What's Included and Features

This section gives a listed inventory of what is included with the product. If you do not see it in this section, it does not come with the product. So, if you see hair in the promo image, but you do not see hair listed in this section, the product does not come with hair.

We do try list the additional products listed in the promo images. However, the artists are free to use whatever resources they have available to showcase what their product is capable of. Once in a while they will use a product that is not available in the Daz store.

If you have a question about what is used in the promo images, feel free to submit a help ticket to the sales team. They will do their best to assist you.

This is where the installers for the product is listed.
